Stop it. :mjlol: .

Cunningham and Brunson have ZERO chance. Stop it.
People would say that about SGA a few years ago too. I don’t know their trajectory, I’m just counting the people who are most likely to accelerate their development.

If you are so sure of how basketball players develop you should be a GM, you should have a lot of receipts to show them :yeshrug:

I’m on my tenth Blue Moon tonight, so I’ll take that back slightly about Cade, but I just don’t see it as of now.

Maybe a healthy tatum?

He out for 2026 and who know the rust and missed games for 2027. How KD came back got nikkas thinkin it's doable but from other sports and even NBA players no guarantee Tatum gets back to the level he was at pre achilles and even then he was never a real MVP threat. By 2027 Wemby finna be 24 which round the age the historical level talents like him start winnin they 1st MVP or at least seriously contendin for it.

Cunningham with some weapons might show who he really is in a few years.

Brunson still turning up, right promo and NY having a better record could do it.

Tatum will stay in the top.

Problem of course is that Giannis and Jokic got like half a decade of next level performance left and SGA is the most consistent player in the league. Last but not least, Luka is only 25, when Lebron stops taking up space time might be his.

And of course it’s only half a decade left.

Brunson ain't separate himself from KAT that much. OG could always make a jump too. Knicks startin lineup is stacked and I don't see Brunson elevatin to a level to separate himself.

Tatum tore his achilles and I hope he get back to form but KD recovery got nikkas overlookin how devastatin the injury is. He could be a outlier and not a trend for future recoveries. Even when JT was finishin top 5 MVP votin he wasn't ever a serious threat to win MVP just the nikka you put at 5 maybe 4 on the ballot but he wasn't ever gettin 1st or 2nd place votes for MVP.

Ya forgot Wemby....

MVP and DPOY going to belong to Victor for the next few years as soon as the spurs start making the playoffs :pachaha:

Dude finished second in DPOY as a rookie on a lottery team that got a top 5 pick and the argument for him was "spurs are a top 10 defense when he is on the court it shouldn't matter what happens when he sits down them being bottom 5 defensively when he is not on the court proves how valuable he is defensively" :pachaha:

If you’re not shooting over 50% from the field along with five rebounds & five assists MINIMUM you are no longer winning a MVP

Your numbers have to be gaudy and I just don’t see that for any Americans presently

Luka hasn’t even got one yet with Wemby in the mix

Agree on Brunson.

Also he's already 29.

As for Wemby, I didn't include him cause I was only counting Americans with potential and foreigners who are MVP level now. But yea, he still be like 25 by the turn of the decade. That's the same age as Giannis and Jokic were when they got theirs, 1 year older than MJ and Bron. Still don't know his trajectory for me to safely say that he's with certainty blocking Americans.

Luka stay missin 15-20 games a season that the biggest reason he ain't win 1 yet. A lot go into MVP. Dominance, stats, production, efficiency, narrative, availability. Every current American is missin at least 2 of em and most more than that.

The way I see it, it may be a long while before we get another American to win MVP. SGA (especially now that he has one), Jokic, Giannis, and Luka will probably always be in contention off GP due to their gaudy numbers, now add Wemby to that. Yeah, shyt is looking spooky for us:francis:

Speaking personally I don’t mind it though, it’s all in good fun and I enjoy watching the international guys for the most part.

Too much Tatum talk.Breh's a good #2 option, but a step bellow that MVP tier. He's closer to Devin Booker than he is to SGA/Jokic.Somebody mentioned Brunson & Cade Cunningham.I don't think they're MVP material, but I'd take both over Tatum.

Now that Tatum has a serious injury he might not get to the MVP level again he'll always play it safe. Truthfully there's no other American player that can put the stats that Jokic, Shai, Luka, or Wemby will be able to put up.

Terrible post. Tatum was in that 1st tier.

No he wasn't. He has finished top 5 in MVP votin but he was never a serious threat to win MVP. He ain't never got a 1st place MVP vote his whole career and I don't think 2nd place vote either. He just the nikka that round the ballot out for the top 5. Would finished 4-7 but wasn't in the class of the real MVP threats who was in BITW convos which Tatum never was at least outside of Boston. Wit that bein the case he on a whole nother level than Book thats disrespectful lol

Best player on the best team....so nope.

Ant, Bruson, Haliburton are literally the best hopes for next season. So nope..

Brown might try to make a run...
