There's a reason I call him Westbrick. He's a fukking idiot that doesn't realize that those horrific shots he attempts almost never beat a team like San Antonio that works to get great looks on EVERY single possession. There's a reason the Spurs had so many wide open looks to end the game. Great ball movement, great play design.

Part of it is him being a moron and part of it is the OKC coaching staff conintuing to lack any ingenuinity on the offensive end. No idea why they kept running screen and rolls with Adams when they should've been putting a guy like Kanter in a position to finish at the rim and have a better more athletic big like Adams to crash and try and rebound.

Have you ever seen the thunder play? ::mjlol:

Kanter has been a great offensive rebounder and adams has been great at finishing at the rim off westbrook passes. he fukking just had a huge game in game 2. you literally have no clue on their offense.:russ:

Russ is still a top 10 player in this league but he has some glaring flaws that hold this Thunder team back even though posters on here hate to admit it

I mean he took 31 shots tonight breh and he only made 10 of them. :russ: KD only took 18 compared to his 31. That's just unacceptable if you're trying to win

And it's not just the volume of shots he takes it's the quality of shots also. He'll take contested 3s even though he only shot 30% from three this season and is a much better midrange shooter. Teams don't even really have to guard him behind the 3 point line if they choose not to

He gambles way too much on defense because he places so much stock in his athleticism and he thinks he's faster than the pass or he thinks he's going to be able to get back to his man in time

He's just a scatterbrained and less than focused player. He makes questionable passes in crunch time and sometimes misses wide open guys in crunch time

I don't think you can win a title with Russ as your best player. He has to be a sidekick :yeshrug:

He needs to be a two guard

He's a high variance player that's never had a coach properly rein him in in the manner that Hubie Brown did Jason Williams in Memphis.

At this point you have to take the good with the bad.

But in order for that to happen they're have to find a legit started at lead guard and they just don't have that right now. Have they ever had a starting caliber point guard? I honestly don't remember

If I'm Sam Presti Im putting my name in the hat to sign Nic Batum this offseason. He's a starting 2 guard that's better than any other replacement 2 guard they've had since Harden. He can initiate offense while Russ is on or off the floor. Can shoot it from deep. Plays defense. He would fit like a glove in OKC. Idk if they had the money to offer him or if he would leave Charlotte though
