At any given point, jordan was the most intelligent player on the court. He knew everyones capabilities as well as his own, and mastered the rules to the point that he damn near was cheating. A basket ball god amongst men, and his athleticism was only matched by his dedication.

the fact that you always KNEW he was gonna hit the game winner.. called my neighbor during 97 finals and told them mj is gonna hit the buzzer beater against your jazz.. and he did. That was MJ. always found a way to win when it mattered :blessed:

Oh my god!!! :gladbron:

Funny store, I was watching that game with my Dad and one of my closest friends. My Dad had to work the graveyard shift that night, so he was able to watch the game until the final 2:00 minutes, then he had to leave to work. He was like this... :shaq2:

So he goes downstairs to wait for the bus (Bus stop is literally in front of his building, just across the street). The windows were up (it was June), my friend and I knew Jordan was going to take the last shot, and even though you know it, and you know he's probably going to make it, it doesn't make the euphoria less dramatic.

The clock winds down and my friend and I are like :lupe:

When he hits the shot we go fukking insane...literally hugging and screaming to the top of our fukking lungs, you would have thought we played on the damn team. :blessed:

Later that night my Dad called us up (before cellphones were commonplace) and says that he heard our entire celebration while waiting for the bus and he was pissed that he missed it. He said he was like this during the seconds leading up to him hearing us...

:beli::stopitslime:.........:merchant::damn:........:snoop:

The confident "no nikkas" dance he does...that swagger is just :wow:

I can hear him now..."no new nikkas, no new nikkas, no new nikkas, no no new"

He mixed in greatness with drama. I don't know why nikkas dont realize that. Kobe for all his greatness has no drama attatched to his name in the playoffs. What did he do that people really remember? His game winner vs Phx AND??????????????? and he didnt even win the series.lol. Lets talk about the years that Kobe won rings. We all know he didnt really do anything worth remembering in the Shaq years as far as the playoffs are concerned. People say he took over a game vs the Pacers when Shaq fouled out. I dont remember that shyt and I LOVE bball so that says enough. Against Orlando he didnt do anything that made me WOW. Against Boston he didnt do anything that made me WOW. And all throughout the playoffs during his two peat he really didnt do anything special.

Lebron vs OKC didnt do anything that made me wow. He did have the game 6 vs Boston. That shyt was better than anything Kobe ever did in a big game.

Jordan has way too many moments. Lebron can eventually pass Jordan but he better have another moment like he did last year in game 6 to keep it going.

So....in a thread about why JORDAN is so special, you dedicate about 95% of your post talking down on KOBE?

And yall say Kobe stans are the problem:rudy:

Elite jumper, elite defender, elite motivator, scored at will, split double and triple teams like they didnt exist, fearless, borderline psychotic drive to win.

:shaq2:

MJ always stepped his game up the higher the stage/stakes.

so he lost to the team that made the nba finals 5 times..3 of which were champion

at least he never lost in the finals like someone :mjpls:

Kareem went to the finals 10 times. He was bound to lose. The more times you get there , the more chances you have to lose. Ask lebron.:lolbron:

he came along before the internet and 24/7 on demand video/music

people back in the 90s were basically forced to watch whatever came on TV and the media dikkrode him into everyone's living room

nikkas know got more shyt to do than sit in front of a tv all day and be told LeBron is the GOAT

His competitive will and desire to win helped make him great. And it seemed like he always made a play or left his mark during a critical moment in a basketball game. And most of all he always showed up to play.
