:francis: When I bought a car last year, I had to wait a few days to get the money because my credit union has a $1000 ATM withdrawal daily limit. I literally had to travel to the meet-up spot with cash in a brown lunch paper bag (That I hid in a backpack of course).

I'm ready to buy a another car, but I don't wanna deal with the fuccery of collecting cash over a few days & risking carrying around cash in public. What's the proper way of paying cash for a used vehicle from a private seller OR a used car dealership?

Cashier's Check. Make them meet you at your bank. See the title. Give them the cashier's check.

With the current interest rates you might be better off taking out a used car loan from your bank and paying with that check. FREE MONEY.
