Goatganda the pearl of Africa
For lack of a better term, what are some things an “FBA” person should do? Like if there was one place I had to visit, where would it be? What are some things I shouldn’t do?

Go to the african markets, talk to the people its nothing but love. I made mad friends I still talk to this day

I haven't been to the continent since I was a child but from what people who are ADOS/FBA and Caribbean that have gone, and have told me, they said they were welcomed and treated warmly. Of course some of it can be due to being American and to them that means $$$, but that's pretty much everywhere that's not the United States, Western Europe, and some Asian countries (Japan, South Korea, etc).

One of my exes, who is ADOS, goes to either Nigeria, Ghana, or some other West African country every other year and she enjoys it.

Did you get that warm feeling people talk about? Did you feel like you were finally home? Conversely…Did you have any wake-up call moments where you felt overwhelmed or out of place? How were you received by locals?

Somebody tag the breh on here who said that when he touched down in SA, an older black woman walked up to him at the airport and hugged him and told him "welcome home". I ain't gon lie, I thought somebody was cutting onions when I read that :mjcry:

When I touched down in Nairobi I felt like I was home. Genealogically, I'm probably more West African but just being on the continent is a feeling I can’t explain

:blessed:

It’s similar to when I visit TnT but historically that’s not the original home of my forefathers. It ( Africa) felt like I was paying homage to something sacred.
