Brehs who ride bicycles, do you have to wear a helmet?



They have some pretty nice bike trails around me but I grew up in that era where you didn't have to wear those goofy helmets. I think it's a law now.

Biking would be a different and good form of exercise but riding around with one of these

I don't have a helmet, but I'm probably gonna get one. I mostly ride in downtown chicago, and it's super congested and dangerous for biking, which is seriously making me want to reconsider having a helmet.

where I live you're supposed to ride on the road or bike lane if there is one. Riding a bike through the trails with a blunt is priceless

It's called right-of-way. Slow down and just pass the fukking bike safely. I hope those clowns hitting cyclists are getting ass-raped in prison. 4AM is an IDEAL time to ride on the roads.

yeah one boy my age just got locked up for killing some dude. but theres no reason for people to be cycling on main roads at all. people are getting hit every week. its not funny at all.

always wear a helmet. i have been in multiple wrecks due to bad drivers, hit by cars whose drivers weren't paying attention, flipped off my bike because some driver either didn't signal or stopped super-fast for no reason and they save me every time. i have felt my helmet hit the ground and thanked my lucky stars that i had one on my head.

i wear a helmet now fukk it. i look like a piece of shyt but i was on some steep trail and busted my ass and hit my head pretty hard while wearing a helmet
i was like ok im def always wearing this shyt from here on out

i also wear this shyt under my bball shorts

I see more and more dedicated bike lanes every year and I live in Canada. Where you can bike maybe 5 months out of the year

Depends on the state, here in Ohio we don't have one for bicycles. I wear one sometimes, not all the time. Depends if I am on or off the trails.

Biking is a great source of cardio, been at it for 3yrs now. I currently have a Trek 7000 with no suspension, cantilever brakes, weighs about 26lbs. Looking at getting this..............

Well in places like Houston its the law for bikes to be on the road. But for any one that knows Houston roads its potholes everywhere, not to mention the drivers wilding out. So seemingly you can ride on the sidewalks and no one will really enforce the law like that. I suggest wearing even if it doesn't look "cool". Also, don't be a stunt man on the roads. I learned my less on without wearing a helmet and hit my face on the pavement, going to fast.

Is 26 pounds heavy for a bike?

Its def up there. I have a POS Trek 1000 from the 90s, no bueno. Prob weighs a good 27-28lbs.
