Terrible advice. It may work in some cases, in others it’ll end up in a lawsuit and wage garnishment. Best thing to do is pay your got damn bills and if you can’t do that find a way to cut your expenses.
Fight the lawsuit and request a jury trial. The average American is in the same boat as you and won't award the creditor a penny...if your credit is shyt, you must acquit:win:

I tried that, but the companies told me who they sold the loan to and say I have to pay them instead.

Bruh thats total bullshyt. They do that and told me the same thing.

My roommate never paid the last bill for con edison and i found out once it was in collections...i tried to pay the collection agency, they said they cant give me anything in writing that i paid it off and on my report it will show that i was in collections...i told them that they were of no help and ima leave my account in collections...

Went to con edison, told them i have a balance from 2014, they took the payment and gave me a reciept. Next month it disappeared of my report.

Collection agencies are bumch of lying fukks

Update 2022: credit over 800. I started fixing my credit in 2016…I was around 480 lol. Only debts today are student loans and a car note. Feels great

Even though I know everyone on the Coli has an 800+ credit score along with $500,000 plus in the bank and investments, how do the brehs who have bad or trash or no credit navigate out here? How do you maneuver around in this system that's based highly on having a decent credit score, particularly for those who don't make a lot of money.

and its about to get worse with the new Super FICO scores coming....you will need money in the bank. they are about to make obtaining/maintaining good credit harder. PM me tho if you need advise. :smugbiden:

I am paying one that the company sold my deb
There's was video on YouTube, I think it was posted on here, by a guy who used to work for a collection agency. where he says if they've already sold your debt to a collection agency then don't pay on it. If you do it will reset and your are now liable to the credit agency.

Who can you call for credit advice ?

I need to talk to someone.

I have been paying all my shyt, but my credit has not changed at all.
Keep paying what you’re already paying. Make arrangements for things in collections that you’re not paying yet. Find a low(as low as you qualify for) credit account that you can use regularly and maintain paying off on a regular occurrence. One thing people fail to realize about credit is that it’s not just paying what you owe that’s taken into account, but also being able to maintain an active credit account as well.
