I take my elderly uncle to the little Wal Mart grocery same day and time each week. We see the same workers and they are very friendly.
(Important detail: I left this town at 18 YO and was gone for 25 years. Most of these people were high school age last time I saw them. Now they ~50)
One of the women turns out to be one of my exes. And I didn't recognize her - enough to be sure it was her. I found out cause the homie did recognize her and came back and told me.
She said she sees me all the time.
But never said anything to me. Over months of saying hello and good morning and stay dry out there.
I'm rethinking all my life choices. Can't figure out what I did. Or didn't do.
