I read an article that said something similar. Not necessarily number of jobs but 1 for being single and 1 for having a job so =2.
I'm not familiar with that at all. I've always gone by: You can claim yourself, and any dependents you have.
I personally keep the number low to make sure I don't end up paying at the end of the year.

I claim zero, just don't want to worry about paying shut. Once I get it back, I dump that money on my student loans.
You're loanin' money at no interest. By the time you get it back, it's worth less than when you lent it out.

If you want to establish savings to make a lump payment on student loans, open an additional savings account and direct a calculated amount to it every pay period. At least you'd be collectin' .05% or whatever on it to combat inflation.

There's nothin' to worry about regardin' payin' taxes. File, cut a check, mail it. If you use the calculator, you'll only owe or be owed a minimal amount.

I claim either 5 or 6, it balances out at the end of the year w/ my write-offs. I usually end up owing like $100 or something.

I file head of household with @Phoenix_Knightly23 and claim 3 dependents on my taxes:

@Fatboi1
@MeachTheMonster
@Leasy
What I look like fathering these boys without getting any kind of credit for it :stopitslime:

I'm buying @Fatboi1 an XBOX Scorpio and a bus ride to china town in NY
Meach, you will get a Neo and a fine linen table cloth
@Leasy will get a lump of coal and a 2 liter of piss
and @Phoenix_Knightly23 will get exactly what she deserves :jawalrus:

You corny and I am telling your wife...

Never owe
Start at 1 to be safe
But even if you over it won't be much.
It's better to get your money every two weeks I would say

I have been doing 1 for the past few yrs and would get like a grand and change back still. Even as I earned more money I'd get refunds still which is why I'm thinking 2 will put me close to breaking even.

I've been claiming 0 for years, thinking about switching it up to 1 for the remainder of the year. I'm curious to see what my pay check will look like afterwards. Since the change is happening so late in the year it shouldn't impact me too much around tax time as far as me owing/reduced refund and etc? I haven't owed in years/not trying to put myself in a hole:whoa:

I'll try that calculator too

What if you work a minimum wage job? What do you claim?
