"you have a guy as big as the Big Show and you just throw him out it just doesn’t mean as much as it should"

Actually was an alright Rumble. Even the favs that got eliminated at least have potential for story-lines going forward.

HHH winning was annoying but a necessary evil as they needed a major name in the main event for Mania who is at least around in some capacity.

Dean sounded like a bigger name than Cripple H last Sunday.

Royal Rumble has changed so much. I had no idea you can come back in the ring after you are defeated. Take your loss like a man. Don't be a drama queen. Sidenote: vince definitively botched this one. i mean why hire goons like the league of nations and do your dirty work. i guess he can do anything cuz he owns wrestling.
And all they had to do was have the Wyatts pull Brock out the ring beat the piss out him. Throw him back in and let Bray eliminate Brock by his self or with whoever. Refs/security force the Wyatts to leave. Brock gathers himself and hauls azz backstage tearing sh1t up looking for em. But :manny:

I mean again, they have a Fastlane main event which in theory seems more interesting at the time than the Wrestlemania main event, which was the same thing last year, so yeah you're right.

I feel though that Dean as IC champ should have his own match especially with an intruiging divison (Owens, Styles, Jehrico and Nakamura, Zayn and them on the way) but I dont know why they wanna create a storyline for all that. And I dont mean a big throw em all in ladder match like last year.

Dean is in the match to lose and get pinned...then he starts the feud for Mania the next night. Not sure if it's just gonna be him and Jericho...a lot of options for him in that upper midcard right now. And Cesaro WILL be back either at Mania or shortly after....

Bret made valid points. I think it's unanimous that the actual Rumble match was pretty tame and predictable, but it was a very enjoyable ppv. I give it a 7/10. Not a classic, would probably not watch again, but so glad I pay $9.99 after Sunday.

Don't see Hitman's rating in quote, but I can't see anybody giving this anything below 6/10. It was an above-average ppv and fun to watch.

It was a predictable, but decent rumble match to me, I've definitely seen worse in the last 10 years.

He's right about the rumble match itself. The show had 3 other great/good matches. Kalisto vs Del Rio would've been better without the botches. The rumble was horribly overbooked. The point should've been to make a star in The same way last year WM made rollins. Aj debut was great but how does Jericho last longer. Make people understand he's a threat. How was he not in the final four? They're pushing this double narrative with him so far. One minute he's the hottest free agent. Next they are calling him kid like he's an nxt call up ie roman reigns or someone. If you want him to be a star make him one.

Hhh winning is like fine. But he did it in a face way. He's the heel right? You have LON beat down reigns and then he comes back basically nullifying that to make hhh look strong when he dumps him fair and square. To me that killed reigns. After all that fake Austin build since tlc just became meaningless. They cheat Brock and he just took it. It was a half baked match. If you're going to have him win it at least do it so we are desperate for him to get his comeuppance. He won clean and it's obvious he will main event wm. No more elimination chamber defense the month before WM anymore? It's all just undercooked. The potential is still there but i have no faith in them harnessing it. Why should i?
