I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Is it me or Bret's resentment over Goldberg has become worse post pandemic? :heh:
I keep telling folks it’s the CTE. Bret and Bill were cool then one day Bret just woke up, popped a Tylenol for his headache, and said, “You know what? fukk Bill Goldberg. Time to unleash the flutes.” Never looked back.

To be honest, I think most people would fold on Goldberg if he ran up on him. I just saw an interview where Dolph Ziggler was talking slick on him like Bill wouldn’t spin the block in a 1972 mustang

Ziggler was a pretty accomplished NCAA wrestler, so I don't think he would worry about what Goldberg could do to him. Jericho was able to take down Goldberg in a backstage fight in '03.

Bret said it set him off because Goldberg was able to come back and get those big checks while he couldn’t because of him. I get that.

The shyt with HHH is more funny/confusing though because he has ZERO issues with Shawn now :russ:

Crazy as it sounds, Shawn was mostly open and direct for his contempt and disdain of Bret. HHH did his dirt trying to sabotage him & tried to be sneaky about it while smiling in his face. Even when you hate somebody, a man standing on the fact he doesn't fukk with you & being direct about it is more respectable than a coward that tosses rocks and then hides their hands.

There's also the fact that Shawn was definitely favored by Vince, but I don't think even his harshest critics would say he didn't earn his spot at the top of the card. Even Bret will say he was legit. HHH politicked, literally carried the bags for Shawn & Nash, and then took it a step further and made the career decision to date the bosses daughter. Even with all that, Foley had to damn near kill himself so that the crowd would finally give Paul a reaction & take him seriously vs Rock & Austin.

Shawn was a dirtbag who habitually crossed lines that would have gotten a man on the street beaten to death but I'm not shocked Bret respects him in a way he can't for Levesque.

Nah, Riddle was being his usual laid-back self. He would fold Goldberg and he knows it. He made Goldberg look like an oversensitive muscle dummy. Too bad Riddle couldn't keep his shyt together, because he was entertaining.
I think if he could actually get a hold of him he could do something with him, but the problem is getting a hold of him. Jericho himself said when he locked on to him he was scared to let go until other people came and broke it up. At the end of the day a strong dude is a strong dude. Goldberg trained too, he just has no ring psychology aka he’s not good at making it look scripted. Don’t mean he can’t run one for real.
