Exactly.

Chuck Muncie used to float around our locker room all of the time telling us what was up. The original pioneers have that research excuse, but Jim McMahon needs to get the fukk outta here talking about he didn't know.
Exactly. Keith Jackson when I was at OU would speak on it. But these dudes need science now? :childplease:

We knew this already as players

To my brehs forecasting football's demise :comeon:. Football isnt' going anywhere. Too much money to be made for that to happen. They will continue to tweak it in the name of "safety" but it's not goin' anywhere. As a matter of fact will likely see a more violent league comparable to a real life NFL Blitz emerge at some point to cash in on the crowd disillusioned by the NFL's steady move towards softness. Money and enjoyment outrank health for the vast majority of people. It doesn't matter how many players lose their memory, struggle to speak, or even committ suicide people are gonna keep supporting football. Americans are as addicted to football as they are to cigarettes and alcohol. Just think of all the deaths and severe health issues that can be traced back to these two things then head down to your local gas station and look around. :heh: Football ain't going anywhere.

I remember listening to him talk during that Thursday Night game last year & was like :weirdo:
But these current players now know what the long tern effects are after its been brought up in the media, and are still out there playing. They care about money more than anything, people will always play football. If guys like Austin Collie really cared about their future health they wouldn't continue to play risking their health

They done knew. Weve heard many former players talk prior to science validating what we already knew.

Apparently we need research now to know water is wet and fire is hot.

The only thing that annoys me about this whole debate. I know for a fact that all of those players that got money in the lawsuit would do the same thing over again even if they knew the consequences.

nikka. I played. You know you fukking shyt up while you're playing. I'm 32 and I don't complain when I can't feel my hands or when pain still shoots down my back. I knew that price. I paid it. I moved on.

I ain't giving that man no sympathy points.

Even if Favre were to croak tomorrow, it would still be a good tradeoff. Dude got to play a sport he loved for 20 years, became a legend and has a net worth over $100M. Good tradeoff. :smugbiden:

I'm sure they knew like players in the past did too. Players today though can't claim that they're oblivious to it and when they're older & try to completely blame football when they could have walked away and stopped playing

About the fast living...

Tim Brown made a statement last week that all these old heads blaming their health on head injuries and football were actually all alcoholics, coke and pill heads...He claims these head injuries are a result of "non Christian" living and not physical contact... Im suprised it wasnt a bigger story...
Tim Brown is a clown for this shyt :laff:

I have to give that fat b*stard Francesa some credit. He opened his show with this today. He's one of the only people in sports media taking on the NFL right now. Now, he's doing it because they stole the name of his show.. but nonetheless..
