You got all that money. You knew what was gonna happen. Don't complain now that you're old and retired. Pay somebody to stand next to you and write notes.
Some fukk boy radio host asked him a question most likey, and he answered it.. That ok?

Dan Patrick asked McNabb the same questions and McNabb said that's the price you pay. Didn't go into how shyt hurts now. That's how you answer the question. Favre also started talking about how his family took a backseat for 20 years and how he doesn't know how many concussions he's had because they didn't keep a chart. Those are all his choices and yes I consider that complaining. No acceptance on his part that he made choices that led to him forgetting entire summers. Brett Favre has been one of the biggest attention whores since he was at Green Bay and y'all diving in here acting like this is something sincere on his part? GTFOH. No sympathy points.

It don't take research for someone to know what's going on with their body. They knew for years boxers could get punch drunk, but running into full grown men then blacking out ain't gonna do nothing? That's an excuse. If you give them truth serum they'd be honest and say they knew. I still know people addicted to football against their own good sense. I knew at 14 it'd fukk me up.

I think the issue is that when playing it at the highest level, it is not disclosed that you can suffer from dimentia or depression in your late 40s...Its different than knowing your knees are going to be bad and you'll have aches and pains for the rest of your life, as opposed to not being able to hold your grandkids and not being able to remember where you live before the age of 50.

How does that attitude destroy the sport? The players know this going in

To a degree....Very few will experience the extreme end of the spectrum when it comes to side effects, but I believe if they would have known that early onset dimentia, suicidal thoughts via depression, etc could have been side effects from playing, they would have managed their career different

I don't doubt it for a second, I don't care how many painkillers he was on those hits were going to catch up someday. Anyone that watched Brett play before and in his prime saw the punishment he took.

It wasn't just knees and shoulders. I understand wanting to be validated by doctors. I didn't even make the league and it crosses my mind that it'll happen to me too, but I can't claim that I was oblivious. Each year I got headaches. Every single year they lasted longer and longer into the offseason until my head was ringing year round. I stopped playing when I was 22. The headaches didn't stop until I was 25 or 26. Drinking helped. Sitting still worked a bit better. I wanted to slam my head into a door most days. One day I woke up and it stopped. I cried like a baby. I'll ask you, if that same situation happened to you, would you need a doctor to explain that's something that will affect you for the rest of your life? I wasn't expecting them to stop, but I'm happy they did.

I don't get sympathy points neither. I chose to launch my head into people for fun. No one should feel bad for us.

Glad the pain has subsided my brother....I truly am.....So you're saying that most of these cats were experiencing some type of symptoms during their career that was indicative of light head trauma and just chose to ignore it?.....cause the players are acting like they didn't experience the major symptoms until the end of their career or after their career was over...

And again, glad you're doing better man.

Yep. Everything they feel now they felt earlier in their career and just ignored it. I did the same. It starts off with forgetting class or what you had for lunch. Then it graduates to remembering if you took a shower…..and not 7 or 8 hours later. I'm talking like 30 minutes later you considering taking another one. It starts with the short term memory. Mine got better again as the years passed. I consider myself lucky that way cause I didn't know if it'd get better. Nobody should ever fall for a football player's sob stories. I had fun and honestly I wished I could've played a bit more (See? We fukking crazy man). @NYC Rebel would probably tell you the same.
