Naw its more like because you need to feel justified in your purchase of a PS4 over the Xbox One by telling yourself the Xbox One is a POS in comparison. Your assessment is false BTW. I get liking a product. I love Playstation and I'm 100% a Playstation guy moreso than the majority of the stans on these forums but I don't have to downplay the Xbox or even the Wii U to feel justified in my purchase. Some of these cats I wonder if they even like Playstation or they just hate Microsoft so much they ran to the only other viable alternative.
If this is a failed product why does the company behind it still support it? Why is it still selling? Why do retial stores dedicate shelf space to it? We've seen what happens to failed video game products. If you want proof go look at the Playstation Vita section of any big box retailer. That's a failure. You're lucky to see two rows of games if that.You should take your own advice

the larrybox aint "failing" but if they think they are gonna get that 360 momentum and sales, they are dreaming. That ship sailed and it was an aberration.
they flood the channels with inventory every year during the holidays breh. this aint new. And just like earlier this yeah, they won't ship much in the quarters after the holidays to clear that inventory out. The inventory will sit in the warehouse until it's time to stock in stores once the store inventory gets low. If it sits too long, it will be returned to MS for credit.
I work in distribution and been to many warehouses for various customers. I know how the game works and seen the stacks of shyt already that are laying in these warehouses (Walmart especially on my current project).
Sell through to customers is more important than shipped. Overstuffing the channels during the holidays is nothing new for MS.
Prior to these recent bundles, MS was around 6.2 milli Xbox's sold this year. They did 3.2 in 2013 during launch, putting them around 3 million so far in 2014 give or take. So now you mean to tell me that they are gonna sell more than they did ALL YEAR in the next 2 months worldwide with nearly 4 million units?
You act like they hold these retailers at gunpoint and make them buy the consoles. You think these retailers are ordering millions of Wii Us and Playstation Vitas?
It doesn't cost much for the retailers to store in warehouses. The charges for storage and labor are billed back to the supplier anyway.
But you disregarded the bolded. That is blatant flooding of the channels as they always do around the holidays.
