OP why didn't you just frame this thread asking whether: class is more important than race, then simply frame Brianna's arguement as pro class and the dissenting black journalists as pro race.
With that said, any professional/ well off black person will easily state how addressing race takes precedent over class, despite there being general overlap between the two issues, when addressing the problem.
