Personally, I think he's the bridge QB for whoever they draft....and I think that pick is gonna be Watson.
However, if they trade that pick for Kirk Cousins, I can see Hoyer backing him up/being "insurance".
Damn these white average to below avg QBs just keep getting traded and switched around to different teams but still making money. With those Brian Hoyer's, Matt Cassel's, Blaine Gabbert's, Kyle Orton's, Ryan Fitzpatrick's, Ryan Mallet's, Brock Ozweiller's, etc....u just know they not gonna make playoffs, and definitely not able to lead a team to a AFC/NFC Champ game let alone a SB. However, those aforementioned QBs and many other mediocre white QBs stay finessing the league and making money for years and they stay getting contracts and able to choose to retire (i.e. Kyle Orton) and just cant win those important games.

It's not that serious, and actually makes sense. He's a solid veteran backup/spot starter, it probably means we're gonna draft Kizer, groom him and not throw him to the wolves.
Hoyer is a stop gap at best. Who is out there any better? Their roster is legit one of the most talentless top to bottom NFL rosters I've seen in recent memory. Who would you have rather them signed? They aren't winning with anyone at qb this year. Who's getting finessed
