Truthfully when it comes to this, the goal posts are moved in an unfavorable way for Kobe. Regardless of what the other players of the past and present have said, people will take Scal's word for gospel now concerning his opinion. Notice how he didn't speak about Kobe's rings without Shaq. Not a huge Kobe fan but let's be fair. He deserves top 10..

Without Shaq? He still had an all star big

ALL OF THE ABOVE
No, it's your own personal preference and little else. You've written off the MVP award as a popularity contest that has no credibility (because you don't think Kobe won as many as he deserved) yet you'd have no problem talking about Kobes all star selections, all defense selections, and his overall popularity across the globe.

Kobe probably should have more MVPs than he does, but there has always been other guys who have been better each year. A guy like LeBron should have more rings than he does, but he's been the runner up a bunch of times. Since you're biased, you ignore this though. You give Kobe credit for everything he has and even stuff he doesn't have while you do the opposite for his peers. If he was as good as you claim he is, you wouldn't have to do all of that.

Lol @ people even suggesting lebron is better than Kobe.

Mvp is a popularity contest btw.

Nah by the time Lebron is done the numbers will speak for themselves. I like Kobe, but no way is he a better overall player than Lebron. Kobe is just too damn inefficient. His shot selection also makes me question his basketball IQ at times :mjpls:

Right now for me Lebron is top 10, Kobe top 15-20

LMAO DID U JUST EQUATE BEIN THE RUNNER UP TO WINNIN A RING TO BEIN A RUNNER UP TO MVP? BRUH, IT IS WHAT IT IS.. STATS ARE PART OF THE EQUATION, BUT THERE ARE MANY FACTORS THAT GO INTO GREATNESS. MVPS ARE CLEARLY NOT AN INDICATION, BECAUSE IF WE GO BY MVPS AS A SERIOUS MEASURE, NASH IS GREATER THAN KOBE AND SHAQ. WE ALL KNOW KOBE WOULD HAVE MORE MVPS BARRING THE RAPE TRIAL.. SO NAAH, MVPS NOT A FAIR MEASURING STICK TO USE. ACCOMPLISHMENTS ARE MOST IMPORTANT, ALONG WIT THE EYE TEST- WHO HAS STUDIED THE GAME MORE, HAS MORE MOVES, BETTER FOOTWORK, HANDLES, JUMPSHOT, D, HANDLES.. WHAT DOES THE EYE TEST SHOW? THAT AND RING COUNT ARE THE TWO MOST IMPORTANT FACTORS IN ASSESSING GREATNESS.. STATS AND MVPS COME AFTER, BECAUSE THOSE CAN BE VERY CIRCUMSTANTIAL.

90% of people who keep Kobe out of the top 10 didn't even watch the guys they put in front of him. NOBODY under the age of 40 watched Bill Russell and Wilt and those guys. People just go off of the Legend thse analysts feed you. Kobe isn't in the top five but he's like a 5a or a 6 he could easily be swapped with any top five player other than Jordan.
Kobe has been plagued with the whole Shaq argument his entire career. Shaq needed Kobe just as much as Kobe needed Shaq. And if anybody talks about the 2 chips after Shaq people say he had Pau. Really? Pau is on Shaq level breh? :comeon: Stop it.
Kobe is the closest thing to Michael Jordan we will ever see (even though I think Jordan dominated the most overrated era in basketball).
And even most of the legends people put in front of him have said it themselves.

I disagree completely. Lebron is a choke artist and a regular season warrior. Similar to Peyton manning
