I wouldnt consider it stupid. He knows HIS price, we see the ramifications football has on those after long career stints and all the added up hits. Maybe he just knows that if he's going to continue to keep playing and putting his future at risk he better be getting HIS money's worth.

This is actually similar to what he said a few months ago after he turned down that Bears deal. He wanted to be taken care of but the FO was like "Nah bruh :heh: "
