That shyt just got common recently.... I've been to about 3 dozen weddings over the years, and may have seen that twice, and it's been in the last 5 years... .emulating a sex act to remove a garter wasn't always common.....

"If you’ve ever cringed watching a groom use his teeth to remove a garter from his new wife’s upper thigh, you might have wondered who thought such a sexually charged wedding tradition would be a good idea.

The tradition got its start the Middle Ages
, when a honeymoon wasn’t exactly a private getaway. When the lucky couple rushed away to consummate the marriage, guests would follow them to the bedroom, watching to make sure they really did seal the deal, according to Mental Floss. As if having spectators wasn’t bad enough, rowdy guests would grab at the bride’s dress as she walked by, trying to snatch a piece off for good luck. (Find out the crazy reasons bridesmaids became part of the wedding party.) This was way before elastic was invented, so the garters holding the bride’s stockings up became a go-to prize for handsy guests.

Over time, people began to realize that gawking over the marriage bed was a tad intrusive. Instead, the groom would toss the garter to guests waiting outside as a taste of what he and his wife were up to behind closed doors. Eventually, the tradition became part of the reception—no need for guests to hover outside the hotel room. So if watching the bride show some skin makes you blush, just be thankful that you’ve only seen a little leg."

i haven't even been to many weddings but not sure why posters would assume they were having sex in front of others :what:

Shows this place is full of bunch of judgemental nerds who don't get invited to weddings

I’m sitting here going through this thread wondering if these people have ever been to a wedding ceremony before. I’ve seen this dozens of times. The groom just puts on a little show while getting the garter off and then the bride tosses it to a bunch of single men who don’t care to catch it because they don’t wanna be looked at as being “next” to get married as is the tradition when you catch it. Maybe the dude in the OP did a bit more than usual, but this is super common.

I have been to at least 10 weddings in my life from being a kid to an adult and I have never even heard of this let alone seen it...wtf is this bullshyt? :pachaha:

Was legit looking at this with the :why:

And I can guarantee any wedding I go to in the future will not feature whatever the fukk this shyt is :camby:This is not normal

If you don’t get this egg head shyt outta here…. Now, if you think it was common to turn on some R Kelly/Jodeci/Sexually charged music, and stick your head underneath your wife’s gown and between her legs to emulate a sex act act in front of ya mama, pops, Big Mama, Rev Green, your Eastern Star aunties, ya uncles who are deacons in the church, your preschool to adolescent aged nieces and nephews, your cousins in jr high, etc, etc…… all for the sake of removing a garter…. then you either white, or a new nikka…….
