I spoke with the cousin of an NFL player & he said most of them cats that leave early regret it because the League isn't what they expected. He said his cuz said it's a job and he wished he enjoyed his college life start to finish. Basically they are telling cats to wait & enjoy no responsibility and the experience over the NFL :yeshrug:

I can believe it…..I tell people this all the time, once your passion becomes your job/career it taints it in a way that's not imaginable for the normal person. Bad things can happen in your career that can suck the passion out of something you loved to do for free your whole life. I can imagine this happening to plenty of athletes. I was one of those in a rush to grow up, in a rush to obtain success type people and didn't live in the moment like I should have. I don't care who you are, the best times of your life will be in college. There's never gonna be a time in life where you live with your friends, have no responsibilities and can't really be hurt by mistakes or bad decisions. You fukk up in the league & your livelihood, your life, your identity is gone…….and then what's next?

if a player reaches the nfl and loses his passion because now it's a job.. that would have happened whether or not he stayed in school for another year.

a year of fun and no responsibility is not worth risking millions of dollars to set you and your family up for life.

that's just crazy.
