Wolves beat the Cavs
73-91 at home. Good way to head into a 4 day break and maybe, MAYBE... the return, the REAL return.
Team is 9-9
The good:
Love: Best night he's had so far: 36 points (10-19 FG, 2-5 3pt, 14-18 FT), 13 rebounds. Tonight, he looked like a healed player. Came up huge.
Ridnour: 12 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds. He really put in work and set the temp early.
AK47: 8 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals, 3 blocks. Stat stuffer. Enjoy the 4 days off.
The bad:
4-19 from 3. 21 turnovers. A better team beats us tonight.
Pek: 4 points, 1 rebound. @
We Ready said it. He's been disappointing. He just hasn't stepped up. I don't know if he's a product of Rubio or if the thought of the contract is messing with him, but something's up. It's making the team reconsider whether he'd get his money. I wouldn't say he's untradeable but I'd prefer him here. He has to play like it though. Hopefully everyone's game goes up a notch with Rubio's return looming.
Lastly, D-Will- DNP-CD. I've talked about this enough. I just hope he hangs in there. Eventually it'll get better for him. All I'll add is that if Wes Johnson was still here, he'd be starting. I just don't get it.
Again, good win. 12.15.12. But Ricky might wanna test out the ACL earlier than that. Dave Benz was saying near the end, "go buy tickets, just in case" because it might happen then. All I know is that the team in spite of all (bad shooting, bad FT's, losing Love, AK, Pek, Ricky, Roy, inconsistency from everyone, DNP's, losing bad games), they did what I asked of them from day 1: tread water. Just be in the hunt by the time Ricky returns. At 9-9, they accomplished that. It'll take a while at first. Readjustment with Ricky, get comfortable. He won't be 100% there yet, but eventually, Roy will come back and we'll be able to show everyone what this team is capable of. For that I gotta give this team a ton of credit.
