Wolves hold on for a big win at home vs. the Nuggets 105-108. We almost choked the entire game away. Luckily we did JUST enough.
Wolves now 10-9!
The good:
Pektacularyes: 22 points, 11 boards, 7-10 FG, 2 blocks. Best game of the year. Really looks healthy out there. Also, much improved on defense.
JJ Barea: 17 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds. The good JJ showed up. When he's on, he's so useful to this team. I just wish he played like this more often than not.
AK47: 18 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals, 6-12 FG. So far, he's been the MVP of this squad. Sub him out and put Wes Johnson in. What do you think our team's record would be? Ugh.
Lastly, 30-37 from the line. They shot 14-24 from the line. There's the difference.
The bad:
Denver shot 51% from the field and made 7 3's. If Iggy did ANYTHING, we'd lose and we almost choked anyway. Gotta tighten up closing games. Even in our wins we've bent but not broken.
Knuckle$: 3-17 FG and his man Faried dropped 26 and 14 on him. Man, at least Howard was hurt. Derrick played 12 minutes and had a higher +/- than Kev did in 31 minutes. The shot is not there. I'm just glad Rick had the wherewithal to sub him out late in the game.
Lastly, Luke. You had a good game. What in the hell was that 5 second inbounds call all about? I guess the good news is that a losing team eventually has that cost them. This time it didn't, but Jesus Christ play smart.
Next game: at New Orleans. 10-9. Let's get 1 more W before... the return of the franchise.

He was just ill before the game. He should be fine for Friday
Lee hyperextended his knee. Doesn't sound serious but he didn't come back either.

Win the 4th. Win the game. Josh Howard hyperextended knee is out. Lee has a degenerative condition in his knee. He's out indefinitely. Holy shyt just make it to the finish line.
