This is all I saw. I like that Chase is being set up to do what he does best: the corner 3. He keeps knocking that shot down, he'll get so many open looks.

He got hurt this morning in practice.

If he misses 6 weeks, thats 14 regular season games. If he misses 8 weeks, thats 22 games. Damn, Minnesota, damn!

Minnesota Timberwolves star Kevin Love will miss the next six to eight weeks after breaking his right hand in a workout on Wednesday.

The team made the announcement after practice, saying Love broke the third and fourth metacarpals on his shooting hand during a morning workout.

It's a crushing blow to the Timberwolves, who already will be without star point guard Ricky Rubio for at least the first six weeks while he recovers from a torn ACL in his left knee.

Love is a two-time All-Star who led the team in scoring and rebounding last season. He also played a key role in Team USA's march to the gold medal in the London Olympics.

The injury likely means more playing time for Derrick Williams.

It'll be 6 weeks. He's broken his hand before. He healed up soon and was playing with one of those UFC gloves. It's a little tougher though because it's his shooting hand this time.

I'd love to say this is devastating, but from a W-L perspective it really isn't. The pressure's gonna be crazy on Derrick. He has 6-8 weeks left in his career. If he shows out, then it's as if nothing happened. If he sucks, it might be too late by the time Love and Rubio come back and then Derrick's career is over.

I ain't trippin' too much (except for fantasy; on that front, I'm furious). When you've lost Ricky Rubio, any other injury pales in comparison. At least we'll get to see whether my point is proven correct regarding how PF production is not a problem with this team no matter who is out there.

If only they wouldn't start the season without Love and Rubio they could probably make some noise. I also want to see if Brandon Roy can hold for at least 60 games a year for a few years.

Short term, Rick's gonna play AK47 at PF and Derrick at SF and then play it by ear. He does need to be more aggressive.

Roy has looked impressive and the defense has been good by almost everyone, especially the bench. Cunningham and Chase look like keepers.
