Yes. I don't think they're looking for another big (which would be the only reason Conroy doesn't make the team) and he's getting $100K guaranteed, so they might as well keep him.

Preseason just ended. Wolves went 5-2. Team looked good, with and without Love. AK played well. Pek played well. Derrick a little uneven. Luke and JJ steady. The best player by far was Chase simply because he's doing everything we've asked of our wings for the last, I don't know, 8 years.

It's gonna be a while before we see Rubio back on the court, which is why the season still feels like it's a long way away. I just want the team to do one thing and one thing only between now and sometime in December when Ricky returns (other than stay healthy): make sure there's still a season for Ricky to come back to. If they sink then it doesn't matter. They'll be fine once he's back. The first 6 weeks will show whether this team can be really good once we're at full strength.

Nope. He's a 2nd round pick on a 3 year deal. CBA rules state that he can't receive an extension yet. Either way he'll be an RFA. They talked to Pek about it recently and he said he wants to stay and that he really likes it there.

He'll get Marc Gasol money if he beasts, but the team's prepared for it. Figuring out what to do with Chase Budinger is gonna be trickier.
