Wolves lose their first home game to Charlotte 89-87 on a game winner by Kemba (BX!). We shouldn't have been in this game and for 3 1/2 quarters we weren't. We didn't win and on most days I'd be livid but it speaks to the character this team has even undermanned to even get it to that point.

The good:

AK47: 26 points, 12 boards, 2 blocks. He's been the rock of this team.

Dante: 8 and 7. Dante keeps on being Dante.

Lastly, 34-20 4th quarter. They could have packed it in and nobody would have tripped. They got it to where it was tied and if not for the heroics of Kemba Walker, we'd be seeing overtime in a game where we had all the momentum. Sucks that we lost but this team will be going places once we're healthy.

The bad:
38% FG shooting, 5-19 3PT shooting, 17 turnovers, worst of all 20-37 FT's. The FT's are bothering me. They are not capitalizing off of getting to the line. We were blown out early, but we wound up losing by 2 and left 17 points at the line. Way too much and this team has to get better as a squad from the line.

Derrick Williams: 10 and 9, but 3-12 FG, 4-7 FT. Days numbered.

Not that I expect a ton from Stiemsma (he got 2 blocks), but 0-6, 1 point, 7 rebounds, 3 shots blocked against. He's way too big to be getting his shot blocked so much.

Take the good with the bad. We've been in pretty much every game this season. All about getting everyone healthy. 5-3. After Friday, we're off for a bit so I hope everyone's able to get healthy by then. The Roy thing sounds a bit more serious but who knows.

Win there would have been huge for confidence though.

Surprised they made it a game though.

Wolves have signed Josh Howard for the Vet Minimum. Per some guy named Kurt Hein....Zgoda seems to confirm it though. Check the link for his twitter comment HoopsHype - NBA Media Twitters

I think it's a good signing for us.

More on Howard from Zgoda....seem's like he should be a good fit for us.

Jerry Zgoda @JerryZgoda about 6 minutes ago

On Howard from someone who knows: Great fit, good in locker room, quiet, high BB IQ, a scorer, can be a ball stopper but not a black hole

Game. Wolves lose at home to Golden State 106-98. Wolves now 5-4.

Just another loss where if healthy, the outcome is different. We got killed in the paint tonight and that was the difference. However, this team continues to fight and almost got a W in spite of all the bodies they've lost.

The good:
Derrick Williams: 23 and 7 in 37 minutes. The only silver lining to these injuries is that Adelman has no choice but to give Derrick this many minutes and he's producing now. Just give him a 30-35 min diet til Love comes back.

Shved: 22 points, 7 assists and almost won the game by himself seemingly. His jumper is suspect but he can drive to the hoop.

12 turnovers and they shot better from 3 and from the line.

Lastly, Malcolm Lee looks like he had a shytty statline, but he was +12. If Rick knew that, he wouldn't have subbed him out for Luke. He was the only one that knew how to stop the dribble penetration that killed us.

The bad:

They outscored us by 40+ in the paint. We needed Pek. The body count is catching up. Luckily they should all be back by Wednesday.

51% shooting by Golden State and outrebounded 50-34. Definitely the worst defensive output so far.

Ridnour: 9 points, 5 assists, 5 fouls, 3-11 shooting, and the game kinda died when he came back in. He was -21.

Good news though: Pek, JJ, and Roy should all be back by Wednesday against Denver. Love doesn't have the cast anymore, Josh Howard played alright tonight in place of Air Bud and most importantly, Rubio is cutting and his rehab is right where it needs to be. Contact drills to happen shortly so that's good. No setbacks for him. This week, Charlotte and Golden State did what any team could do: get 2 wins off a depleted team. I'd take em if we had that circumstance. Luckily it's only for these 2 games. All about getting healthy. This team fights though, just imagine once everyone's back.
