tough loss at LA to the Clippers 95-101. T'wolves can't buy a basket to save their lives now. 6-8. 1-3 on the West Coast Swing. At least Rubio's on the way back.
The good:
Shved: 17 points, 3 3's. Literally the only guy that could hit an outside shot tonight.
27-35 FT's. That's the only reason why we were in this game. Couldn't knock down a shot, but they got to the line, a huge improvement now with Love back.
Lastly, Lee. 10 points, 7 rebounds. The ONLY starter that finished on the plus side with +4. When he was in there, we had a chance.
the bad:
38% FG, 6-22 from 3, 18 assists, 18 turnovers. Ugh. Nothing would fall.
JJ shot us in the foot with that heroball shyt. 2-8 FG, and he was lost. He didn't care to run the offense. He just wanted to jack up shots.
Luke: His shooting wasn't bad, but when you see him out there, you know the difference between Rubio and Ridnour. His decision making late in the game sucked. Shved did a better job directing traffic, and he's really just moonlighting as a PG.
Lastly, I think Rick took too long adapting to the smaller lineup, and if he wanted to stay big, he could have used the Steamer, especially when JJ was out there. They have a good connection. Tonight exposed our shotblocking, outside shooting, and backcourt deficiencies. Those things will keep us from winning. The backcourt- Rubio will return but we need a SG. Blocking- AK and the Steamer- outside shooting- just get Redikk or Afflalo or whoever. We need it.
Let's just get Rubio back in practice.
