Wolves hold on to beat Atlanta 103-108 at home. Almost lost it but all in all, good game. Front court did its thing. They hit big shots when they needed them.

Wolves now 16-15

The good:

Pek: 25 and 18. Too much for Atlanta. They had that Godfather music playing in the background too

Derrick Williams: 17 points in 21 minutes. He built up the lead and really was underutilized anyway. He was crucial.

AK47: 21 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, knocked down some big 3's that saved the game.

9 turnovers, 8-15 from 3.

Lastly, Rubio: +10, 4 points, 8 assists, 4 steals in 18 minutes. He's getting there. Slowly, but he's getting there.

The bad:

The 4th quarter. Outscored 32-23 and Shved did everything he could to blow this game. Didn't milk the clock, jump passes. Team missed some gimmes too and couldn't stop Zaza, J-Smoove or Lou late in the game. They almost blew a big lead to Atlanta for the 2nd year in a row. They should have used Ivan Johnson and Anthony Morrow but what do I know?

Allowed 49% FG and 10 3's.

It may only be for one game, but Terry's coaching got worse as the game went along. Rotations got worse. Didn't call a time out to stop the bleeding when they needed it. The one positive thing he did was play Derrick more and then he forgot he was there, so he blew that too.

All in all, good win. First W against Atlanta since 2006 :krs:

Hopefully the team can split the next 4. 16-15.

Shved is a baller but dat FG% gotta get that to at least 42-43 by the end of the year.

He started off terribly. He wasn't comfortable shooting. He's coming around though he still shoots this off balance shot that is frustrating as hell.

He'd have a higher FG% if he was actually stronger. If you see him play, he can get to the rim whenever he wants. The problem is that he's too frail to take the hit as he goes up. A summer of weightlifting and fighting bears with Pekovic will go a long way towards helping with that.

4th q is when we really need kevin and his aggressiveness (when he shows it) to get to the line

Down 5 at the half after our usual crappy 2nd.

They're playing our style which is why we're in but the team needs to kick it into 5th gear. Less Dante, more DWill and Pek. At least DWill's been aggressive to the hoop.
