Actually there is a ton of talented black musicians who for the most part come from church... The best of them just back big acts though and when they create their own music it just ain't selling that much.

People are now used to simpler song structures where musicianship hardly shines through. That's just the way it is.

I want to get a bass guitar and learn how to play it. I like that funk.

Someday when I get more free time. :shaq:

I share the same sentiments as you OP. The sound of live instruments is so much better than electronic instruments. Electronic instruments limit creativity when they are relied upon solely as an instrument rather than a tool.

I feel like rap music has destroyed the desire for aspiring musical artists to learn to play instruments.

Instruments are used to make beats in rap but in music videos or onstage they rarely show instruments being played. So kids growing up have the perception of "you dont need to learn all this istrument crap" and never learn it. Thus why almost all rap beats sound the same these days. Noone is developping new patterrn and especially in genres like rap and R&B who use a lot of loops...We need to turn this around brehs.:snoop:
