Fundamentally, I agree that people don't care anymore. However, make sure YOU care and don't get discouraged by the lack of support from elsewhere ... well, that's what I do. They're not going to play Raphael Saadiq, Dwele, Jill Scott (maybe) on platforms in the forefront.

Robert Glasper's Black Radio seems to be a gem for this generation .. I see him on couple Kendrick songs from the new album, he's tryna install that black individuality again and I see the results, hopefully he continues.

Funny though, artists like Roy Ayers, Stevie, Marvin, Curtis, Al Green, all the gods, you can't help but feel discontent with where it's at, but now you just got to look for your own sh*t now - they're not going to give it you.

Lastly, just get D'Angelo's album ... that is next level musicianship.

Or the fact that most schools, especially inner city ones have completely scrapped their arts programs. When I was in HS there were guitar, piano, etc. classes but nowadays the only schools that offer those are private or rich school districts.
You forget that one of the main reasons they get scrapped is because low enrollment into those classes. THAT is one of the things people who complain about these programs closing forget about. You cant keep funding something people arent signing up for. If you have a music teacher that has periods where they barely have 10 students why the fukk would you as a school district wanna pay to fund them for?

Again i think that kids lack of interest and parents lack of parenting is contributing greatly to this. Kids dont know any better than what they SEE with their own eyes. It's up to parents to guide them.
