Briscoes staying with ROH

For some time now, the Briscoe brothers have been rumored to jump from Ring of Honor to WWE once their contracts expire. Originally, the brothers were reportedly scheduled to sign with WWE once the deals were expired and had no interest in staying in ROH.

Now, ROH made them a new offer, one that was actually better than what WWE was going to give them. Both Jay and Mark asked WWE to improve their offer to either match or give more than what ROH was offering them with this new deal.

Dave Meltzer mentioned on last night’s Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE was not going to match the new ROH offer and the Briscoes will be signing a new deal with ROH anytime now.

They are confirmed to stay in ROH according to Meltzer.

It doesn't count when the KLIQ does it. The reason they weren't signed was over homophobic slurs one of them made on Twitter.

As noted earlier, The Briscoes are expected to stay with ROH. Triple H passed on offering them a deal after becoming aware of the homophobic slurs they had made on social media in the past. WWE Senior Director of Talent Development Canyon Cemen had been the one communicating with the Briscoes, and recommended that WWE pass on them.
