Until british black people can learn to stick together and build a solid middle class instead of chasing white women like its a prize to breed the black out of them, then they will never be able to challenge the status quo. I have nothing against interracial but when you're dating out of your race for the sole purpose of diluting yourself and making yourself more acceptable to mainstream society, then you are not getting married for right reasons like love.

Zimmerman is still very much alive though. Black people in predominantly white countries do have obstacles to overcome and keep in mind that the first mass influx of black immigrants to the UK only happened in the 1940s which really isn't all that long ago. We're getting there just like you in the states. And no I don't think there are too many black people going out there with the intention of breeding themselves out of existence but I do agree that we as black people do need to consider more carefully the future of our race because it's only black people I see eagerly anticipating the day everybody appears racially ambiguous.

As a black man living in England I always thought that we were represented fairly well, better than in many other countries at least. I can turn on my television and I can see black men in a number of roles that break away from regular stereotypes. I will say this though, you wont see too many black women (non mixed) on TV over here.

I watch a lot of British television. Got hooked on it when I used to live over there and you're right you hardly ever see black women on British TV. When they cast black women on Big Brother they are just a walking stereotypes. They never cast normal level-headed black women on that show.

Really? Because if you want to use this one video as an example I can think of at least three videos from America off the top of my head with cacs being racist in front of a group of black folks and they don't even get touched, not to mention comedians shouting stuff like "if this was 40 years ago, you'd be hung from a tree with a fork up your ass" in a room full of black folks. We're pushovers, you say? Educate yourself fam, because you really don't know shyt about our history in this country. The police force across the entire country as well as the government have changed laws drastically in a panic as a result of black people "pushing hard against the status quo like their American brothas".

Misfits had a non mixed actress... LOL

Wunmi Mosaku (sexy as hell) is the only non black British actress that I can think of that has been a main character on several British shows. I am American and I have limited access to British television but maybe there are others.

Its weird that I can name plenty of non mixed Black male British actors but when it comes to actresses I can name only a few.
