First, interracial relationships and the growing mixed-race population is something the British black community is experiencing in exceptionally higher numbers compared with other groups. According to the 2011 census, members of the black community are among the most likely to choose a white partner – close to 50% for black Caribbeans. (In contrast, those with heritage from the Indian subcontinent generally have a rate of interracial relationships that is much lower.) This likelihood also increases with each new generation: the chances of people of mixed black/white heritage having a white partner, are about 80%. The demographic implications of this for the future of black Caribbeans in Britain are obvious.

Dr Adam Elliott-Cooper, a research associate at the Department of Geography, King’s College London, who is himself mixed-race, puts it succinctly: “In the absence of significant new immigration, British Caribbean people, as we know them, are going to become largely absorbed into the wider white British community within a few generations. For the most part, their great-great-grandchildren are going to look very different from them.”

Same things for Africans in Europe, even though there is a lot more new blood coming through.

This is one of the reasons why I don't care about afro-Europeans anymore Not only do they have no sense of community, their end goal is to be European, culturally if not ethnically. They also want to rep Africa (sometimes) but look down on it and you wouldn't catch most of them dead on the continent.

Legit question but why does it seem like west Indians in Florida and new York date each other or other black ethnicities more compared to their counterparts in Toronto and England/Europe? Is it because the us has more people of African descent or is it something else?

As someone who lives in Orlando, each community is so much stronger IMO. Florida is the gateway to everywhere else.

1. Swirl is easier in Europe and Canada, always has been. West Indians know they are Black in this country and that means certain things.
2. US has an established and large Black identity with historical roots. UK Black immigrants seem to want assimilation and there is nothing really stopping them. Also they come from essentially British colonies so their societies often have 'British' as high class or aspirational. A lot of the elites were mixed too creating self-image and power dynamics.

Exactly I noticed a lot when being bougie and bringing up passports and traveling will be referring to only traveling in Europe. They get turned on by everything Europe
