Those were the rules of the day. Applying modern morals from today back then is flawed thinking as “morality” is often anachronistic. Obviously as a black man I’m not cool with slavery but everything else was fair game of the day, meaning kings grew armies, went to war, took over places and controlled it. That was life. Besides England as we know it was founded in 800 AD which was 700 years before the slave trade began. Saying they got all their wealth from Africa is not historically accurate. Most of the wealth they have is in real estate within Britain. They got it by telling cacs in Britain to get down or lay down. How is that different than Mansa Musa controlling the gold mines and the salt and spice trade over West Africa? You think he asked nicely for it?
