That's cause they probably learn a much more detailed, in-depth version of English than the USA.

Our high school English is likely learned in their 5th grade.

I need a down south granny to teach me the secrets to making banana pudding.

I may make it for Christmas with the merengue on top, and make the pudding from scratch. It doesn’t look difficult so I think I can make 1 important tweak. Don’t shoot me for amending something I haven’t tasted.

Try the Paula Dean's banana pudding recipe. It's the best that I've had so far. She uses chessman cookies but I prefer to substitute with regular vanilla wafers as the chessman cookies don't bring a unique enough flavor profile. I'm not a fan of merengue on banana pudding but you can add it if you like.

Edit: I found the recipe, it’s giving me more of a cheesecake vibe, I get why it would work and I may include elements of it into what I’m trying to do. I don’t have access to Jello pudding mix any how, so I’m making it from scratch.

i refused to use instant pudding and jello in cakes for years and im much worse off for it. you can take boxed cake mix to a whole new level, im into it
