This is why the FDA ain't shyt. They allow food to be sold with all sorts of chemicals and additives that are banned overseas. They just say they're not harmful in small doses.

You can't even buy Skittles in the UK because they don't allow all those Red #4 and Yellow #5 colorings. Trans fats have been banned there but in the US they can just play with the labeling to get around it.

Some of the flavours we have here some of them not at all. There is no Fanta berry here, we have grape soda but it’s a British brand. WTF is Clamato is it for bloody Mary’s, at first I thought it was a v8 splash.
Clamato is tomato juice with clam broth and chili pepper. People do use them for bloodies, micheladas, or just red beers (clamato mixed with beer)

Skittles are sold in shops and supermarkets. It's a common sweet/candy sold here.

There isn’t an association with black people and grape drink over here. In fact we don’t have grape flavoured items at all. Not even grape jelly; It’s black currant or nothing. The only thing grape flavoured is wine.
Come on breh. DG and KA have grape soda. And you know exactly who buys them too.

granted I haven’t been to london in a minute but is it possible these kids’ parents are just very strict with their diets? I can understand not having certain brands but these kids are acting like they’ve never had soda before

You can buy skittles here, they’ve just replaced the colours with alternative food colouring or natural food colours. I think haribos have spinach and beets in their colouring.

Yes but outside of those mentioned in the video (they showed KA) they are no others and they are not specifically associated with black ppl or have the same negative connotations as it does in America therefore apples and oranges. A lot of general food has a lot of negative associations with black ppl due to propoganda by white ppl to discredit black entrepreneurship; think fried chicken and water melon. That’s what the person I quoted was referring to. It is not the same here nor are the references the same.

Also there was some old school ruling to do with America banning black currant as to why they turned to grape being their default purple stuff over black currant like we do. That’s why outside of KA and DnG (outside influence in more recent years) there is no other grape flavoured items in mainstream flavouring in the UK everything is nasty black currant. I hope that clears up the misconception.

I think they were referring to the level of carbonation. It’s possible that your drinks may be more fizzy than ours.

Surprised they weren't drinking a pint at their age since 16 is the legal

Yeah, they have Fanta drinks in The UK and Europe, just taste better with more random flavors.

Seeing their ingredients labels on sodas alone puts the US to shame . No artificial flavoring or dyes .

18. And that's to buy or drink in licenced premises, unless it's not a pub then you can have a pint with a meal at 16. 18+ to drink in public too.

Do what the fukk you want at home though
