Britney crawled so these pop stars today could run. She was picked apart by the media back in the day, and her management was constantly trying to control her every move. That's why a lot of people are fans of Blackout, because that was one of the few albums she had creative control over.
Does she have mental issues? Yes. But everything she went through over the years contributed to that. I don't know how someone can argue that her life is better with this conservatorship. Doesn't seem like she's this insane person that is unable to manage anything in her life.
She was before though, and that's definitely been coloring why she's been trapped in this conservatorship. She was dead broke while being one of the most famous people in the world, on all sorts of drugs, and doing reckless shyt like driving around with her infant in her lap. She needed alotta intervention ASAP and definitely still needs some minding because she's got minimal life skills due to being stunted mentally and socially, but I agree that the conservatorship is OTT. A good support system is what she needs like so many others, and she's got the resources unlike many others.
These nuclear solutions for mental instability are stupid and setting back mental health treatment in this country tbh. I don't really care about Britney Spears herself per se, but celebs have too much influence in this world for better or for worse, so improving her situation could cause some change and needed conversations. I feel the same way, like if they let her do her she probably wouldve died sometime between 2004-2020.
It's one thing to watch over someone, but the forcing her to work thing when she ain't even getting the money like that is messed up. I don't see it any different than some cold star who's parent or parents spent all their money.
