Her coach and everyone perpetuating this talking point are idiots. Bron is way more popular than Brittany Griner. Of course there would be non-stop coverage and outrage. Twitter is trying to spin this into "black women aren't protected" again and it's so annoying. If Brenda Grambling, a regular black woman from Memphis, was locked up in Russia there wouldn't even be any news coverage. Griner getting this much coverage is a testament to her celebrity.
