She was US player of the year, won an ESPY for best female athlete of the year, signed a million dollar Nike contract, won a WNBA title, has two gold medals as the leader of the US women's team, played in China on a contract that was 10x bigger than her WNBA rookie deal and now has played in Russia 7 years on a contract 10x bigger than that, where she's led her team to multiple championships.
She gets paid millions to star in three different major countries. There is no standard by which she isn't "internationally known".
