Man there aint shyt online to help me out, i just got a tablet (no hdmi) trying to use this adapter to connect thru USB, it does nothing on my tablet or phone, but the HDMI knows something is connected, its not greyed out.

Do i need a driver (windows up to date, should already be installed) or am i doing something wrong.

What are you trying to do? Could you cast wirelessly instead?
Nope, im at a chick crib, no smart TV.

I have a USB to HDMI adapter, HDMI in the tv and in the female adapter spot, usb from adapter to usb 3.0 slot on tablet.

Screen doesnt even attempt to connect, no driver starts or tries to, same if connected to the usb slot on the phone, how does this normally work?

What kind of tablet? Could you move the file to a flash drive and could the tv support the codec if so?

I would imagine you need specific software and/or drivers to do this. did the adapter come with any documentation?

Yea, but i need to transfer the screen, not play a file.

There is not a single thing online saying i need drivers to do this shyt either, there is barely any information at all on what to do. That makes me think it should be simple as hell if nobody has asked this question much.

device have some sort of serial/model number?

Sometimes of you look at the device manager <usb to hsmi (right click left click proterties) details you can grab the device id "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E31" as an example and google it to see if you can find a respectable site to download something or get opinions on it to make it work.
