It's a dumb take considering it may be free to watch sports on TV
I get the gist of what he's trying to say, but shaming people for consuming entertainment is wild.
It comes from the toxic productivity/hustle p*rn part of motivational speaking that urges people to grind themselves down to the bone in a way that benefits people like him, for [often] no tangible benefit. He may work hard, but you know damn well he ain't working nearly as hard as the people he employs.
It makes no allowances for common socioeconomic barriers, family challenges, depression, neurodivergent thinkers, or people dealing with other health challenges that you can't "hustle" your way out of. (I'd bet big money that he also thinks ADHD isn't real, Shift Work Sleep Disorder is an excuse, people who live in poor areas "should just move", and people struggling with depression should "try to think positive".)
