Yo my workout playlist starts with How about some hardcore and Ante-Up its perfect for throwing iron up too.

But that damn Broken Language is whoa! It makes you just want to walk through a crowd pushing people for no reason, just to mean mug em.

Respect to Broken Language for the lyrical slaughter, but Ante'd Up production and energy makes me feel like I'm Storm summoning the weather to unleash on the land:lawd:

What if it was going up against how about some hard core?

yea, i'd give the nod to MOP if this was in the convo instead.

how about some hardcore >>>>> broken language >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ante up

i never liked "ante up". i understand the feeling that it gives off tho. also, i remember when they had the source awards going crazy over "ante up". does anybody know why the performance was so edited? if they didnt edit it, then it would be mentioned amongst the goat source awards moments.

I always wondered why they edited that performance. I think ante up was as commercial they could go while staying true to their sound.

yea. i never understood why they edited it. somebody needs to ask M.O.P. about that in an interview.

crazy thing is, that was like the only bad source awards show, but M.O.P. provided one of the few brightspots that night.

TIMELESS: Smoothe Da Hustler Revisits "Once Upon A Time In America" | Rappers Talk Hip Hop Beef & Old School Hip Hop | HipHop DX

The Noah killer, the expert slayer
The white girl gang banger
The Virgin Mary fukker, the Jesus hanger

The vital kicker, the drug dealer and title stripper
The idol flipper
The cross breaker and bible ripper

the bolded = :demonic:

Trigger Tha Gambler: Just back to back.

DX: Now, Smoothe, how pissed was your mom when she heard that line, “The white girl gangbanger / The virgin Mary fukker, the Jesus hanger”? [Laughs]

Trigger Tha Gambler: [Laughs]

Smoothe Da Hustler: [Laughs] Ayo, lemme tell you, at first she was like, “Oh my God!” Like, Oh, we turned her off. We turned her off with that record. I mean, we were saying the most violent shyt. But, as we kept playing it around the house, and our friends started ridin’ past playing it, and then people we ain’t know started [playing it], she was like, “Yo, I love this record.” And actually, that’s one of her favorite records. Because she know when she first heard it she was just like, “Oh no.” Like, “No.” But we was like, “Nah ma, this is it!”
