A competant headcoach would be a good starting point.

lebron could be averaging 30 a game and it would mean nothing the way the spurs are shooting the ball

Why are you posting selective stats? If you gonna post stats post all the stat's don't be selective.

Why are we talking about Kobe?

This isn't signifcant because of him. Bron's performance is not significant because of MJ either.

Its unexpected because he basically manhandled the NBA this year and won an MVP with 27/7/7 on 55% shooting. He had a month where he averaged something like 30ppg on 65% shooting...he was damn near unstoppable. He's 28 years old in his true prime(I doubt he gets any better than this...he won't, everyone is at their best in their late 20's)...

And yet, he finds himself with his back against the wall again, against a team everyone thought they were going to beat easily and he's struggling. He's not facing some all time great defense or any personal battles that we know of...just his own fears and holes in his game.

you mean the Finals where kobe had a 2-point game, an 8-point game and missed a game?:gladbron:

in the 2pt game he played 9min, that was game 2. he was injured in game 3 and played 0mins

oh you forgot 21 year old KOBE .. also had a 26pt, 4reb 5asst, 2blk 1stl on 52% FG in game 4 :gladbron:

28,10reb,4asst,2blk,1stl in the closing game to win the chip :gladbron:

Thing is Bron's stats aren't even bad really on paper...

21.6pt 10.8rb 6.8ast :yeshrug: solid, solid 2nd option numbers...basically pippen in his prime circa first 3peat numbers

Only when put in context and consider how he's shrank when the heat have needed him most do you get a feel of why people are :dwillhuh: at his performance this series...outside of game 4 (which saw him stat-padding in garbage time after wade had already closed the game :heh:), he hasn't really had one Lebron-caliber game the entire series....but the series ain't over...i think pretty much everybody can see him having a huge game tomorrow that forces game 7 from a mile away...they win that game 7 and his stats will be used as monument to the greatness of his all around game
