Going from the pre-eminent rivalry of the 2010s to the first play-in

Hope people remember Stephen vs LeBron fondly decades from now

One of the greatest NBA rivalries of all time
Complete opposite ends of the spectrum.

On topic: when is the last time Steph lit the Lakers up? He always struggles against them. That Lakers Defense just too great

he's due

Steph struggles the most at staples. He’s gone off on the lakers at home...I think.

I got the Lakers winning but I'd be losing sleep if I was a LAL fan. Nobody trying to deal with Curry in just one game.

It also gets much harder to win a chip if you have to face Utah -> LAC -> PHX so I see this as a must win. Getting the 8th seed makes the finals a lot harder to reach.
Word to the Curry in one game thing.

I’m extremely unhappy that it got down to 1 regulae season game ... when we started out as #1...

That - and I understand we had serious injuries - worries me.

Warriors are in rhythm. Say about Green what you will, but his passing is ELITE. They can cut up a defense. Curry is in his bag.

I see Lakers pulling it off because of experience and size pause. That said: Kuzma disappearing or one of the big two getting hurt, or just bad 3-point shooting which we saw in the Finals at times AND Curry going nuts and getting 1 of the youngins involved from 3.. and we have a real problem..

A slow start: same. We have to play defense and pound the paint, and Menace, LeBron and Davis playing well and the rest hustling... we got this.

Lakers in 1, hopefully and then an “easier” way to the Finals..

i’m leaning towards the lakers they are too good defensively they will lock everything up
If the Lakers win there's a good chance Caruso could be the MVP of the game. His defense gonna be key.

I'm concerned Lakers rotations gonna be out of sorts tho and either AD or LeBron is gonna be playing hobbled.

SMF and LAX to VA and NC
I'd say there's about a 10-15% chance right now that these two meet again in the West Finals. Both Jazz and Suns are on instant upset alert in Rd1, no matter which of these they draw both Dubs and Lakers can beat both...

Dubs are peaking at the right time, and Lakers are getting healthy and winning at the right time. Rather have dealt with LeBron and AD injuries when they did, than for Lakers to have been healthy all year, locked up the 1 or 2 seed then a month ago, AD gets hurt, abd 2 weeks ago, Bron gets hurt, then go into the playoffs as the 1 or 2 with both missing the first round...

Do not be surprised if this turns into the WCF. I won't be...

i can see that..depends on the matchups tho i don’t watch a lotta laker games so :manny:...cohesiveness could be an issue too

I got both Lakers and Warriors making the playoffs whatever seeding they may get. I've seen nothing impressive from the Grizzlies at all and well it would be a miracle if out of 4 teams Spurs would be the ones clinching 8th spot :mjlol:
