This is where it really matters and if he can not necessarily beat the Lakers (although that would be huge), If he could will his team into an ‘offs spot AND even steal a game or two , then it goes a long way in quieting that criticism that he’s not built to carry team on his own ... which he’s really not but I feel like he’s really been trying to prove people wrong with the way he’s been playing this year .
No one said his legacy takes a hit no matter what happens here, but MAKING THE PLAYOFFS as the only allstar on his team will SOLIDIFY his legacy to a certain extent imo.What the hell do u think hes been doing all season long?
So if he loses to the Lakers, but beats the Spurs/Grizz and gets the 8th spot, his legacy takes a hit because he didnt beat the Lakers?
Thats really the only bad thing I can think of that they say about steph is that he can't carry a team on his own. Winning this play in game after the season hes had pretty much eliminates that argument from the discussion.
If u ain't the best of all time u can always improve ur legacy/resume. Dude aint retired yet
