Ay all I know is Steph already had a ring, and beat em head to head before he got there. I don't recall KD winning a damn thing til he teamed up with Steph. You can try and spin it all you want to. But that's the reality. He snatched that mans soul in that game 7 of the WCF to the tune of a 37 piece.
Playoff stats of the two during their 3 year run together:
Kevin Durant: 29.6 ppg 7.1 rpg 4.5 apg
Steph Curry: 27.4 ppg 6.1 rpg 5.9 apg
I don't see how you can call that carrying. That looks every bit like a 1a 1b situation. And this is with Steph being the primary focus of opposing teams defensive gameplans which featured Kevin freaking Durant. I mean sheesh!! I see why KD dropped everything to run and team up with him.
To get to be Kevin Durant and still not even the primary focus for other teams schemes, you can't beat that.
Reminds me of Shaq and Kobe during the last two years of their 3 peat. Shaq was the better player, as was KD(marginally); but the difference being the Kobe of the Warriors run (Steph) got the majority of the focus. Imagine that. The KD/Steph duo makes narratives from both sides conflict with each other. Very intriguing duo that both benefitted from mightily. But y'all Steph haters try to make it seem like only Steph reaped the rewards of the tandem, as if KD wasn't 0-2 in his last two Western conference appearances before he headed to GS

....naw he needed Steph just as much as y'all claim Steph needed him. Cause even if you say Steph wouldn't have won another finals if not for KD...he at least would've been in it, while KD would've been at the crib spectating . Being the fan he has been since 2009
SIDE NOTE: Steph done passed up Isiah Thomas at this point. I know that hurts, but it is what it is.
