Wouldn't say it's a lost skill just the rules dictate if you don't have at least a decent one you're screwed.
pro style QB's are becoming extinct. QB's aren't coming out of college running pro style offenses. They are playing in more simplified offenses when they come to the league. You're not gonna see the Brady's and Manning's anymore.
