he should have stayed at 135 for longer. :snoop:

he wouldnt be out partying if his ass still had to make 135  the weight cut alone would keep him grounded and concentrated on boxing.

dude is not a 147lb fighter. he doesnt have the power or skills yet to keep these big guys off him. they can just run through him.

yep. or he should of moved up to 140. problem was he would of had to face garcia or matthysse. they didnt want them hard fights

they got gassed by the hype and thought he could jump a whole weight class :skip:

Nah 147 helped him, he cuts too much weight, and he aint active enough for them lower weights............

I feel it would help him to take 2 years facing straight bums, and he should think of campaigning at 154-160 where the workrate is less, so in other words he's food going forth since he aint built for WW power

i felt like he was dodging all the competition at 140 by jumping up 2 divisions at once anyway.

the thing is there were a lot of good fights out there for him at lightweight still.

he should have built his resume at lw before doing anything else. look at these names

1. Yuriorkas Gamboa
2. Ray Beltran
3. Ricky Burns
4. Miguel Vazquez
5. Antonio DeMarco
6. Richar Abril
7. Omar Figueroa
8. Jorge Linares
9. Paulus Moses
10. Kevin Mitchell

cmon skip you cant be serious. its not about workrates. he doesnt have the strength or power to keep these welters off him. and he was a much much better fighter at lightweight and super feather.

this was a great win.

Power is one thing, but you can suceed without power, you cant by not moving your hands, and if you are smart enough to step back just some then Broner is suspect.....

Can you believe Maidana not only him but beat him in every single facet, out jab him, out wored him, better Defense, more power shots, out dirtied him, knocked him down twice to zero, even showed him upo with the antics.....

Broner is simply done, like Ive said hes a lower B level talent, I cant see him storming back at any weight 135-147, he got stripped down worse then any so called elite athlete, even wrse than Naz, expect his downfall to the almost the same

135- Bigger and stronger, but can be outworked
140-Imagine what a Garcia or Matthysse does to him
147- Worse ass whipping a so called elite fighter took, move over Bradley
154- Can get acclimated to the lesser workrate but the cant stand the power

He's done, this is what happen when you give young fighters hype smoke and mirrors contrary to making them earn it in the ring; he'll never recover that Broner arrogant confidence/slight delusional antics. I fear it's no coming back for him

the man is 5'6 and has a 69inch reach. thats not the body of a welterweight at all.
If he had the punch he could make it work but even at 135 his power was suspect

Shoulder roll dont work with short reach. People need to understand the shoulder roll is a defense and not offense, the greats that used it either had the lights out fight stopping pop to like Toney, or smarter fighters to abandon the D when they are coming forward and stalking like a BHOP and Mayweather

Yeah you can obviously. But you need some great boxing skills to out box bigger men. Broner is not a great boxer. He's a boxer puncher. His style is to walk you down and beat you up. But he can't do that against naturally bigger men who are stronger than him and hit harder than him. As much as he wants to be floyd he's really not.

Broner has skills though thats the thing, his defensive numbers and prowess shows that, he just wasnt prepared on bit this fight, as soon as he felt a grazing shot in round 1 that roll shyt went out the window

I just dont know about Broner, maybe a Roger Mayweather helps, but I cant see him returning to "elite" level status, the novelty and gimmick is over with him, and the bullshyt that comes from his mouth he has to prove it, and prove it by facing the names. His fans nor boxing fans will take a bum tour at this point
