Whatever Bronny bringing in financially is a drop in the bucket, nobody is tuning in to watch him in the NBA after a game or two.

But I'm looking at it from the Klutch angle, it would have been less pressure just signing him and start him off in the G. Instead they had reporters talk about he woulda been a lotto pick if not for his incident

If I am Rob Pelinka, I am not drafting the guy, but I'm not him so whatever. This is how much they value their lowest draft picks.

No G league is helping this kid, he's flat out not suitable for NBA, he doesn't have a single great skill that other teams would be interested in and G League wasn't gonna develop those for him.

So they decided to hype the kid up while Bron was still in the league, got him drafted, that whole situation got them more media coverage for their team for a little while (good or bad publicity they don't care), he played a few games before he got exposed even to the most casual audience and the rest is history. They calculated that this would bring them more profit and keep Bron happy instead of drafting a more talented guy at the draft who might have given them a few OK minutes per game from the bench.

Jerry Buss is not walking through that door, his kids have not been exactly the greatest at running Lakers franchise over the past 10 years.

First and foremost Bronny skillwise is a G-League lifer/overseas guy, that being said cut the bullshyt pretending Ollie was a straight hooper Bronald can develop into a 40% shooter from the floor with 1.2 boards and 1.6 apg and if he dont get there by year 3 then streaming it is Ollie didnt deserve this stray and I apologize if hes an esteemed member of The Coli, but I just remember the stint he had in Cleveland where he was a actual rotational player and played all 82 games for us
