Setting the scene: the Heat are down 75-63 with 30 seconds left in the 3rd, Bron has played every minute of the game so far, Wade and Bosh are resting. When his rampage is done, the Heat are up 3.

Let’s go possession by possession. Keep in mind, these aren't just the times he made a play, this is every single offensive possession in order. Also note that he was hounding Manu and Tony Parker the whole quarter:

  1. Final seconds of the 3rd quarter: Lebron gets into the paint, gets hacked, makes both FT

  2. First possession of the 4th: Lebron gets into the paint, draws 4 defenders, kicks out for a wide open Chalmers 3

  3. Next: Popovich tells Diaw to play deeper to prevent the drive. Still, Lebron gets into the paint, fakes Splitter, gets the layup

  4. Next: Popovich tells Diaw to drop even deeper than last time. As Lebron prepares to drive, Neal shifts over to double him. He goes too far, Lebron hits Mike Miller for 3

  5. Next: Kawhi on him, playing almost in the paint, Lebron plays a two-man game with Chalmers, frees himself off a pick and drives for the dunk.

  6. Next: 2 man game with Chalmers again, then drives. With 4 defenders near the paint, he kicks back out to Mario at the 3, who fakes and misses a runner. Lebron catches the rebound and in one motion puts it back. The headband has been knocked off. Again Please Note: This is every single offensive possession, not just his baskets or assists. We’re at less than 9 minutes now. Lebron’s headband is off. Bosh and Wade are on the bench

  7. Next: the first possession that he doesn’t either score or assist. Got to the hoop but arguably gets hammered.

  8. Next: off ball, starts to cut on Manu, who blatantly elbows him in the throat. Lebron gets it on the inbound after the foul on the block, backs down Kawhi and finishes at the hoop. He has now scored or assisted on 16 straight points

  9. Next: Brilliant pass in to Birdman, who gets hacked and hits the FT

  10. Next: blocks Duncan at point blank range, gets ball in transition, gets to the hoop, jump stop, shot fake (Timmy bites), step through and lay in

  11. Next: Allen gets the layup in transition

  12. Next: gets to the foul line, hits 1.

  13. Next: drives on Diaw, gets the lay up. Note: we are now at the 5 minute mark. Lebron has now scored or assisted every time he has touched the ball against the Spurs best defense while Wade rests. In that same time frame, he has been guarding either TP or Manu, neither of whom have scored or assisted on him. Also had maybe the 2nd best block of his career on Timmy. Most of his shots have been drives, and he’s gotten hit each time, including two blatant hacks. He’s gotten 14 seconds of rest in the entire game.

Not as underrated as his Game 7. People talk about that Ray Allen shot as though it won them the tite. They still had another game (plus overtime of Game 6) to play and Bron dominated and hit the big shots at the end of it.

Will almost certainly go down as his most underrated due to the shot, but that game was INSANE in real time. Spurs supposedly still had Bron’s number, they was running them out of the gym at home, Bron was doing good but he hadn’t turned on that level yet, fans was leaving en masse. And between his godlike run, the fans damn near attacking the security guards to be let back in, plus the headband coming off. I didn’t have particular thoughts that professional games had narratives or agendas back then, so it’s probably the best game of basketball I’ve seen. There’s no asterisk or hyphens like people want the 2016 Finals to have. Two teams gave everything they could, at their highest possible level, and it resulted in a masterpiece.

That game was so dope on so many levels. It was a game I decided to watch the while thing for once to see if Miami would go out with some fight or if Duncan could carry it back with a vintage performance.

The first half was dope to see Duncan turn back time and will his team to the ring and he was just cooking so crazy throughout that game.

Then you see Bron see his legacy flash through his eye and then that 4th quarter he went to work. I like LeBron but I think that 4th quarter before the heat lost the lead is what we expect from Bron and it's possible if he focused.

Then Spurs take back control and should be able to close it. Bron hit the three late Spurs miss free throws and Ray hit the clutch 3. The Spurs with the great system and coaching make some mistakes late and mental errors.

Overtime was wild too with both team hitting big shots and nobody can separate. That Parker step back 3 was so cold man. Then the finish of green getting blocked by Bosh. Personally I been watching the NBA for so long and that game was the best back and forth high level skilled action game I ever seen in my opinion.

Sad that the fans left that joint before it ended and they deserved not to be let in.

That game 7 was great also. Clutch bucket by Bron late and hurtful miss by duncan on that short bunny. I felt his pain on that one.

Bonus facts: my dad left the bills playoff game vs the oilers back in 93 when they was down 35-3 and came back. I clown him about that all the time. He's a casual Hahaha
