I always find it odd that Lebron haters use THIS game to disparage him because he missed the game tying three.

But they completely ignore the fact that the Heat get run out of the gym if it wasn’t for his amazing fourth quarter.

Can we talk about the fact that when Wade re-entered the game it killed all of their momentum, which led to the need for the Allen shot

Should have kept him on the bench like Derozan

I thought LeBron was on a superteam/stacked the deck and all that bullshyt? That doesnt go well with that now does it? If hes solely responsible enough to choke, same energy for wins. Thanx

Somehow the narrative is that Lebron shies away from the moment.
And yet before Ray Allen hit that 3 pointer...it was Lebron who took the shot before it.

This is what people talk about. The narratives change all the time. When they said he's scared of the moment and you prove that wrong....they'll say he doesn't make the shots. When you show them the numbers that proves that wrong, they'll come up with some excuse like "it wasn't the finals...it wasn't the series clincher....it was a tie game...it was only against XYZ team...etc"

Amazing series. A really sad loss for us Spurs fans, but after winning it the next year and having time to reflect on it....that 2013 series was really damn good.

Parker flopped on that 1st turnover
I think Parker got away with a foul on the next turnover (Knowing Parker got away with a flop did make LeBron less aggressive to attack him. But he still should have played stronger though)

Last turnover was one of the worst passes I've ever seen in a big moment. So no argument there.

Horrible first miss:picard:.....but bounced back with the next 3 :ehh:

Last one was a good shot attempt and just missed. :yeshrug:

Thank goodness for Shuttlesworth :whew:

I've always meant to ask Spurs fans this - did the 2014 domination pretty much erase the pain of 2013 or does that still end up stinging just because of how close you were to winning?

For me it hurt a lot at the time.
2014 erased a lot of it because not only did the Spurs come back and win...they won in a way that was just so beautiful and dominant.

Probably the only thing that sucks a little about the 2013 loss is that (assuming SAS won in 2014) it would have given Timmy that 6th title...and for the purposes of debates/trolling with casual morons...it would have been one extra :umadduncan:

Outside of Rays three, I only remember Bron shooting a three that bricked so bad, the backboard is still shaking

Personally I look at those series like the 1988 and 1989 finals. Clearly what pushed Detroit over the top was the way they lost in 88 with how it stuck on their minds all year. Same thing with the spurs. I’m not sure either of those teams get it the following year if they win the first meeting. Losing game 6 the way each of them did too :damn:
